Flax Urundai

Flax Urundai [ Flax Balls ]

Ingredients :

1/2 cup                                  Flax seeds
1/2                                        Fried grams
2 Tsp                                    Till ( sesame )
4                                           Almond, chop nicely
8                                           Cashew nuts
4                                           Fig
2                                           Cardamom
4                                           Cloves
a small piece                         Nutmeg
1/2 cup                                 Jaggery
2 Tbsp                                  Honey

Method :
Heat a kadai on a stove over a medium flame.
Add flax seeds and roast without adding oil.

Keep stirring continuously for uniform roasting.
At one stage the seeds start crackling with a sound. phat. phat...
Transfer into a plate when the seeds are crackling giving out a nice aroma.

In the same way dry roast till [ sesame ] also.
Then roast fried grams well.

Cool them down to room temperature.
Now grind well using a mixer grinder and transfer into a basin..

Microwave cashews for 3 minutes or until it turns to golden color.
Break into small pieces.
Chop almonds and fig into small pieces.
Pound jaggery well and add to the powder.
Add honey and mix well.
Make small balls and arrange in an air tight container.
If needed add some more honey to make a proper balls.
