1/4 TspCardamom powder
3 - 5 stringsSaffron [ Kesar/kunguma poo ]
1 TspAlmond shavings*

*Instead cashew roasted in ghee can be used.

Method :
Take milk in a vessel and set induction stove at 800 temperature setting.
Heat the milk.
When it starts to boil, reduce temperature setting to 120 and then add semiya and salt.
Semiya does not take too much time to turn soft.
When it turns soft add sugar.
Mix well to dissolve sugar completely.
Let it simmer for 10 minutes and the payasam becomes thicker.
Milk gets reduced to less than a cup.
Finally add kesar strings and cardamom powder.
Transfer into a serving bowl.
