#CarrotSiruPayaruThuvatal - #CarrotMothBeansStirFry : #SiruPayaru is called #MothBeans in English.
It is same as green gram but brown in color and smaller in size.
I used sprouted moth beans with carrot to prepare this #thuvatal ( #stirfry ).
Ingredients :
Siru payaru sprout : 1/2 cup
Carrot grated : 1/2 cup
Onion nicely chopped : 2 tblsp
Coriander leaves chopped : 1 tblsp
Green chilly : 1 thinly chopped
Curry leaves : 6 to 7
Mustard seed : 1/4 tsp
Urad dhal : 1 tsp
Oil : 1/2 tsp
Garlic clove : 1
Salt : 1/4 tsp ( adjust )
Method :
Keep a kadai on a slow flame with oil.
When the oil becomes hot splutter mustard seeds.
Then add urad dhal.
When dhal turns golden color add green chilly, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Saute for few seconds and then add smashed garlic clove.
Then add onion and saute for 1 minute.
Now add sprouts and carrot. Then add enough salt.
Mix well and close with a lid to cook them.
Both carrot and siru payaru take very little time to
get cooked.
Transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves.
A good tea time snack.
A very good side dish for sambar rice
and rasam rice.
