Here I have given an instant recipe to prepare dosai from wheat flour.
Ingredients :
1/2 cup Appam Batter or Idly batter
3/4 cup Whole wheat Flour [ I used multi grain wheat flour ]
1 Tbsp Rawa
1/2 Tsp Salt
Other ingredients to add to batter :
1/4 cup Palak nicely chopped [ optional ]
1 small size Onion, chop nicely
10 Curry leaves, chop nicely
1/2 Tsp Cumin
1/4 Tsp Black pepper crushed freshly
Oil to make dosai.
Method :
Take appam batter, whole wheat flour [ or multi grain whole wheat flour ] and salt in a wide mouthed vessel.
Add 3/4 cup of water and mix well to get a smooth and watery batter.
Add all other ingredients and mix well.
Before start making dosai go to dosai making with watery batter to know the method.
Heat a tawa on a stove over medium flame. When it heated up spread oil on tawa and make dosai as shown in the video.
Sprinkle oil over and along the rim of the dosai.
When the edges become slightly golden flip to cook other side.
Again spread oil over tawa and make another one.
Enjoy with chutney or sambar.
Note : Appam batter can be replaced with curd. This is added to get holes all over the surface of the dosai and to make it soft.
