Siru Keerai Dosai

#SirukeeraiDosai : It can also be called #Sirukeerai oothappam.
Sirukeerai, a green leafy vegetable belongs to Amaranthus family and its leaves are very small compared to others in that family. So got its name Sirukeerai.
Green leafy vegetables are good source of fiber and vitamins. It is very important to include them in our daily diet.
Here comes the recipe for #dosai with keerai.
Can make 6 to 8 Dosais.

Sirukeerai Dosai

Ingredients :
1 cup                             Idly Batter
1/2 cup                          Amaranth flour
1/2 Tsp                          Omam
1 Tsp                             Cumin
1/2 Tsp                          Crushed Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp                          Sea Salt


1/2 cup                           Siru Keerai
3 Tsp                             Onion chopped nicely
10                                  Curry leaves, chop nicely

Method :
Mix all the given ingredients adding 1/2 cup of water.
Add chopped sirukeerai, onion and curry leaves.
Mix well and if needed add some more water to get required consistency.

Heat a tawa over a medium flame.
Apply oil evenly over the tawa.
Pour maavu at the center and spread evenly to make a thick dosai.
Sprinkle oil over and along the rim of dosai.
Close with a lid.
Flip it using a dosai ladle when the rim turns golden color.
Do not close with a lid after flipping it to cook the top side.
Transfer on to a plate when done.
Sirukeerai dosai

Serve hot with coconut chutney or onion coconut chutney.
