Dosai Maavu - Batter for Dosai

Dosai can be made from idly maavu also.
But for crispy plain dosai or masala dosai a batter of different combination is required.

Ingredients :

Ingredients for Dosai batter

Idly rice ( boiled rice )                        : 1 cup
Raw rice                                           : 1 cup
Fenugreek                                         : 1 tsp
Urad dhal                                           : 1/2 cup

Method :
Wash all the ingredients well together in a vessel and soak for 2 to 3 hours.
Then grind using a grinder or mixer grinder into a nice batter.
Add 2 tsp of salt.
Mix well & allow it to ferment for 8 hours.
Dosai batter is little more watery than idly batter.
Half an hour before making dosai add 1 tblsp of rawa (sooji ) and mix well.
Then make dosai using a tawa.
